How much will it cost to clean with Harmony Maids?


Every cleaning fee is individually-based. Elements that will affect your cleaning estimate include size of your home, number of bathrooms, number of residents and pets, frequency of cleaning, etc. We use a standardized formula that helps us calculate every individual cleaning estimate uniformly.

Our rates are compatible with competitors who don’t deliver the superior level of service, professionalism, flexibility and end-product that we do.


Will All House Cleaning Visits Cost the Same?


Your First-Time Deep Clean visit will typically cost more than subsequent visits. We use increased strength and repetition of all cleaning tasks for this First-Time visit, ‘harmonizing’ the space before your regularly scheduled Harmony Maids Routine Clean begins. We require a free, face-to-face consultation so that we can give you an estimate for your First-Time Deep Clean and subsequent visits.


How do I pay?


Harmony Maids accepts cash, check or credit card and all payment is due at time of service. If you aren’t at home during the time of your cleaning service, we request that you leave either cash or a check on the kitchen counter. We can also keep your credit card on file and charge it upon the completion of each cleaning. A fee will be assessed for all returned checks.


Do I Have To Be Home to Let Harmony Maids In to Clean?


This is entirely up to you. You may opt to give us a key to be safely stored – only the local owner and/or office manager has access to the double-locked secure key box in which the client keys are kept.

Harmony Maids are only given the keys for a cleaning appointment before they leave the office each day; they must turn the keys to management before they are allowed to leave the office after signing-out for the evening. The keys are safely stored in the office key safe until the next cleaning appointment.

If you choose to meet the Harmony Maids cleaning team for access to your home, we offer you one of two time slots: between 8:30am – 12:00pm or 11am – 3:00pm.


Do You Guarantee a Day and Time for My House Cleaning Appointment?


Harmony Maids ordinarily guarantees a specific day for your house cleaning, but due to our flexible – and often changing schedule – we cannot commit to a specific time of day for our arrival.

However, we can do our best to estimate a time of arrival if you contact us on the actual day of your service. If you truly need a specific time guarantee, we’re here to discuss – as always, we’ll do our very best to reach a solution.


What If I Need to Reschedule a House Cleaning?


To reschedule your cleaning day, simply call our office a minimum of 48 hours prior to your scheduled cleaning day.

If you don’t give us proper notice of cancellation, we won’t have enough time to fill the schedule with another client. This decreases the maids’ pay, and without consistent wages, we can’t retain the Harmony Maids staff of which we are so proud.

Rescheduling 48 hours in advance of your scheduled cleaning service ensures you’ll get the best cleaning service possible. We will assess and implement a cancellation fee if necessary, although we truly hope to avoid taking that step!


What If I Accidentally Lock Harmony Maids Out on My Cleaning Day?


If you lock the maid services team out on your cleaning day, you will likely be assessed a lock-out fee, which of course, we hope to avoid….most clients either hide a key on the premises on the cleaning day or provide us with a key that we keep safe and secure.


What Should I Do About My Security/Alarm System on Cleaning Day?


We ask that you make the necessary arrangements for the Harmony Maids team to access to your home on your scheduled cleaning day. You might want to consider establishing a guest or temporary code for Harmony Maids.


What About My Pets?


In your free consultation, we’ll find out whether you have pets. We ask that you provide any information regarding your pets that would be necessary for us to know about. Together, we’ll assess the best approach on how to handle pets when cleaning takes place.


Are My Valuables Safe with Harmony Maids?


We request that you put away any special valuables or irreplaceable items or instruct the team not to touch them. We respect closed doors and drawers – it is our signal from you that you do not want an area to be cleaned. Harmony Maids carries the necessary insurances, however, in the event that any damage should occur.


What if Something in My Home is Damaged or Broken?


Clearly, we make every attempt to take great care in cleaning your home; yet we do understand that accidents happen. Identical replacement is always attempted but can’t be guaranteed. As with your valuables, we request that irreplaceable, collectible or heirloom items, whether they be of monetary or sentimental value, be stored and/or not cleaned by our team. Please notify us within 24 hours of service if any damage has been discovered. Please also note that Harmony Maids is not responsible for damage due to faulty and/or improper installation of any item. All surfaces (i.e. marble granite, etc.) are assumed sealed and ready to clean without causing harm.


How Do I Know I Can Trust Your Staff?


Harmony Maids takes pride in our staff. We offer above-average pay, bonus programs and comprehensive training. We also screen every Harmony Maid diligently before hiring them using background checks and references. Our insurance policies add yet another layer of security.

Whenever possible, we send the same team to your home. However, due to illness, vacation and other unforeseen circumstances, we cannot guarantee the same team every visit. If a different team comes to your home, you can rest assured that they have a detailed work order with special instructions, just for your home, and they will consistently clean to Harmony Maids high standards.

Our goal is to guarantee you have supreme confidence in our staff and our service.


Do I Need to Provide House Cleaning Equipment or Supplies?


As you know, we offer Harmony Green Cleaning, which includes Harmony Maids’ proprietary blend of carefully-chosen green products, and Hybrid Cleaning, a mix of eco-friendly cleaners as well as traditional ones based on your custom requests.

That means that you don’t have to provide any cleaning solutions or equipment. We come prepared with state-of-the-art equipment and cleaning products, so you don’t ever have to worry about replenishing your supply!

Of course, if you have special house cleaning products you want us to use, please be sure to discuss this in advance with our management team so we can take note and properly communicate your special requests.
Why is green cleaning important?
Green cleaning is important for many reasons. One of the biggest ones is that indoor air pollution can be 5 to 10 times more polluted than outdoor air, according to the EPA, and that can have adverse health implications.

One contributor to indoor air pollution lies with chemical-laden cleaning products. Many of these products contain toxins, or chemicals that can cause skin irritation, burning eyes or human illness if inhaled, swallowed or absorbed through the skin.


Why do you offer both green cleaning and traditional cleaning options?


Harmony Maids recognizes that everyone’s definition of ‘harmony’ is different. And that might mean varying definitions of ‘clean.’ Some clients may want to use traditional products in areas they perceive as needing stronger cleaners, like the bathroom.

Because of our founder’s background in chemistry, Harmony Maids is able to balance the use of chemical-infused cleaners to maximize efficacy while minimizing toxic impact.


What exactly do you mean by satisfaction guaranteed?


We’re certain that you will be more than satisfied with Harmony Maids superior cleaning services. Our Satisfaction Guarantee is in place ‘just in case’: should you be unhappy with something, notify us within 24 hours of your service and we’ll return to fix the problem. Furthermore, every staff member is bonded and insured, so everyone is protected.

We’re also registered and monitored by the Better Business Bureau, which offers third-party evaluation of our services.
